Mhairi has worked with animals from a very young age as an animal care assistant at various kennels and as a wildlife care assistant. She achieved a HND in Animal Care at Elmwood College 2007.
Mhairi has her own 'small' collection of animals; 3 dogs, a cat, a tortoise, 12 Guinea pigs, 2 shetland ponies and a large flock of chickens, ducks & geese.
Melissa started her Nursing career in 2006 at Struthers & Scott in Doune. She became a qualified RVN in 2010 and then worked for Vets4Pets for the next 6 years. Melissa took a few years out to concentrate on being a Mummy but has returned part-time here at Crieff Vets.
Melissa also holds an Honours Degree in Medical Biotechnology but animals have always been her main interest, hence the transition. Melissa is particularly fond of Guinea-Pigs and other small creatures. In her spare time she enjoys walking, ski-ing, exercise classes and of course, her children!
Su joined the practice in July 2019. Her professional background is in optical and dental management, but as an animal lover it made sense to transfer those skills to the veterinary world.
After living in Yorkshire for 25 years, Su and her two working Cockers returned to Scotland to be closer to family. She spends her spare time walking with the dogs, reading, listening to podcasts, visiting with family and friends and cooking.
Verity has been with us since 2010 and has undertaken many roles in that time. Nursing assistant, bookkeeper, admin and of course reception. A background in project management in the voluntary sector but she originally trained as a jeweller. Verity has an interest in canine & equine behaviour. Her free time is spent caring for her dogs, horses and hens and enjoying riding, reading, sewing, gardening, photography, time with family and still makes jewellery!
